    A man of integrity and honour, who clearly had the club in his heart. He went from who us thus guy?… to being synonymous with Liverpool as much as any foreign manager could. I’ll miss him and hope whoever comes in maybe inspires the players to play once again with the passion of every fan who silently said to himself “please score” knowing the prayer may never be answered. With hope in your heart, you’ll never walk alone. Thanks Rafa and good luck.

  7. I honestly thinks he was made scapegoat for the downfall of the club. There’s only su much a man can do with little financial support. We are talking about competing with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham etc who has money to spend. We had to sell to buy. I actually felt sad losing this guy, he really gave it his all. Great man and good luck on your next adventure Rafa!

    @h60562 Are you for real son? Do you honestly think Dowie or Southgate could attract top european players? Maybe you are being sarcastic or something but those guys are not nearly good enough to mark the Anfield pitch never mind manage. Big mistake losing Rafa. One bad season. Rafa is a legend… its not his fault… every one forgets that not only did he win the champions league fa cup and european super cup… he got into the final of the league cup, the champions league, world club championship and a semi final and quarter final of the champions league again….. they say he spent over 200 million but thats over 6 years thats only 33.3 mil a year to buy players… who can you buy with 33 mil nowadays…. rafa you will never be forgotton… YNWA

As a Big LFC Fan it won’t be the same without him as i used to see him around locally a very nice guy but in a another way im glad hes gone cos hes not good enough to get us premiership plus he was making liverpool into a very foreign side which i did’nt like as we want english footballers but hes got a cheak for leaving us in a rubbish position for next season with the likes of lucas & insua and moving to a side with better players that inter have.
