    When LFC played that legendary European cup tie in 1977 against St Etteine were was Shankly that night? At hillsboro watching the Everton v Aston Villa league cup final replay! “After my retirement i was made to feel welcome more by Everton than Liverpool” Bill Shankly,1979.

    shanks once said he’d build liverpool up & up until we’d be invincible, no manager ever took a club closer; 13 of the18 leagues and the 5 european cups all down to him! we would not be there if it wasn’t for shanks!!!

    rip the great man bill shankly it was 28 years since his death the other day a statue and a set of gates named after him is not enough they should name the whole stadium after him Liverpool FC would not be where they are today without him

  24. Poet, prophet. seer – the godfather of LFC. An icon, legend. His influence is still felt across the club and even football today. Great music too. Anyone know what it is ?
