Roger Hunt joined Liverpool in July 1958 and quickly became a key player in Shankly’s Liverpool team in the 1960s and was a deadly goal scorer managing to net 41 goals in the 1961–1962 season. An incredible achievement.
In total, Roger Hunt scored 245 goals in 404 appearances for Liverpool between 1958 to 1969.
Roger Hunt is affectionately referred to as “Sir” Roger Hunt amongst Liverpool fans, despite his lack of a Knighthood.
