Liverpool 3 – Portsmouth 2 Video Highlights (7th Feb 2009)
Fernando Torres scores a last second header to put Liverpool back on top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool started without many of the big names today and both Torres and Kuyt started the game on the bench as substitutes, which was a surprising move especially as they were not brought on earlier when Liverpool were clearly struggling for firepower.
Portsmouth initially took the lead with a goal from David Nugent. Fabio Aurelio grabbed the equaliser with a strong free-kick taken inside the area.
Portsmouth struck back and took the lead again with a goal from Hermann Hreidarsson, and Liverpool managed to draw equal again 5 minutes from the end with a strike from Dirk Kuyt.
Torres finished it all off with a beautiful header in the final minute.
